North Down, one of 26 district council areas in Northern Ireland, is a unique borough on the edge of Belfast City. Combining both attractive coast and countryside with many natural assets, North Down is linked by excellent road and rail networks to ports and airports.With Bangor 13 miles from Belfast, and Holywood 2 miles from Belfast City Airport, North Down is a prime area to live, with excellent education, health, entertainment and transport facilities.The Borough covers an area of 88 square kilometres stretching from Holywood to Bangor and Groomsport encompassing the attractive residential areas of Helens Bay, Cultra, Crawfordsburn, Groomsport, Conlig, Seahill and Six Road Ends.A traditional holiday destination, North Down is transforming itself through a visionary and ambitious programme of regeneration with many major refurbishment, public realm and tourism schemes underway.

Project 24 is a unique temporary art project on the seafront in Bangor, transforming a derelict space into a welcoming, vibrant and dynamic area in the heart of the town. The Project will include 12 artist studios, an Event Space, a Community Garden and landscaping.

Bangor’s award-winning Marina and seafront is second to none, playing host to major maritime-based events. The town of Bangor functions as a service and administrative centre as well as a market town and seaside resort, and Holywood has transformed into one of the most popular business services locations outside Belfast.
